I’ve alway had great exchanges with folks at the FSGA. I want to specifically mention Aaron S. I emailed him back in 2016 with a handicap revision question and he addressed it immediately. Fast forward to 2024, and I attempted his email again with another revision question. To my surprise, he was still there at the FSGA and responded less than 8 hours later at 6:50am. I asked another question a few days later and he responded with a thorough answer in less than 5 mins. That type of responsiveness is rare these days, especially as people have become more transactional about their work. Ownership of role is increasingly becoming a lost art, so interactions like these are always refreshing.

Played by first (and last) FSGA One Day tournament at Champions Gate on 4/29/24. The FSGA web site and the tee sheet given at the course both state that rounds are to be in 4.5 hrs and that slow play will be warned and then penalized. What a joke.

After our first hole, we waited on every tee shot and every shot into the green. There were a minimum of 3 groups on every hole and 1/3-1/2 of the holes we had 4 groups (2 on the tee box, one in the fairway and 1 on the green).

It took 5 hours to play the round. And at no time were any steps taken by the FSGA to increase the pace of play. No warnings, no penalties for slow play.

It's bad enough that the pace of play was so slow. What's inexcusable is that the FSGA lied on their web site and on the tee sheets given out that the acceptable pace of play was 4.5 hrs when this wasn't the case.
