I am writing this with an alternate account to protect my identity (my name is not Jack or Pilate) but if someone from your Center could respond to me or try to get in contact, I would be happy to try and find a way to speak again. In 2022, I was told about Tahirih Justice as a victim of domestic violence. Particularly, I was experiencing emotional, physical, and financial abuse due to my dependent status by my status holder. I called them on three different occasions and they never answered. As a result, I ended up giving up on the whole thing until exactly around a year later in 2023. I once again had to call them on two different occasions and leave detailed messages (with another instance of sexual harassment, in which I actually took the offender to court) until they called me back to tell me that they can't help me. They didn't give me a reason. They then gave me the numbers for other immigration-related organisations which I could find myself with a quick google search. All of those organizations were "at capacity" and referred me to each other in a loop, so I never got any help. Just today, December 7th of 2023, I found out that they took the case of my abuser, who is also a potential victim of trafficking. I believe she was connected through DVRP. Hearing this, I honestly felt incredibly hurt and disappointed by this center. If there was something wrong with the case I was making, I would have liked to know, at least so that I could stop looking for help. This honestly just feels incredibly unfair, especially since my abuser is getting the help that I worked so hard to find, calling over and over again, and never received. I don't know who else to talk to so I am leaving it here. I don't want to jeopardize my abuser's immigration but I wish I knew why I received such indifference from your organization while you guys accept and defend abusers with open arms.

I am Honduran, I am 38 years old, I arrived in the United States on February 14, I left my country for fear of being killed. I am part of the LGBTIQ+ community, I have been living with HIV since 2013, and I contacted this organization because it appears to me in an App called Inreach (formerly Asylum Connect). I have been asking for help since last year and no one I have contacted has bothered to look into my case. I suffered an episode of violence in 2018 and constant persecution after it and I was forced to submit my work permit application on my own because no organization has "space" to listen to my situation. Today they called me from this organization, but the person who spoke to me told me that "my case does not fill the profile" to be able to assume it. How do they know without even listening to the reasons for my departure and analyzing the documents I have? And to complete it, it sends me to another organization that only attends the 15th of each month and I need to submit my paperwork before February 14th. /

Soy hondureño, tengo 38 años, llegué a los Estados Unidos el 14 de febrero, salí de mi país por miedo a ser asesinado. Soy parte de la comunidad LGBTIQ+, vivo con VIH desde 2013, y me comuniqué con esta organización porque me aparece en una App llamada Inreach (antes Asylum Connect). He estado pidiendo ayuda desde el año pasado y nadie con quien me he puesto en contacto se ha molestado en investigar mi caso. Sufrí un episodio de violencia en 2018 y una persecución constante después del mismo y me vi obligado a presentar mi solicitud de permiso de trabajo por mi cuenta porque ninguna organización tiene "espacio" para escuchar mi situación. Hoy me llamaron de esta organización, pero la persona que me habló me dijo que “mi caso no llena el perfil” para poder asumirlo. ¿Cómo saben sin ni siquiera escuchar los motivos de mi salida y analizar los documentos que tengo? Y para completarlo me manda a otra organización que solo atiende los 15 de cada mes y necesito presentar mi trámite antes del 14 de febrero.
