This place sucks !!!.THEY WILL FIND ANY REASON TO DENY YOU OF HELP YOU QUALIFY FOR. Everyone pointed us in this direction and it ended up being a waste of time and money. At 1st they denied us because my husband didn’t have a job, he was recently fired and looking for one. After obtaining a job, they said his salary wasn’t enough to keep up with the monthly rent, so once again they denied us. Went back with proof of making more money and a letter from my boss confirming that i had gotten a raise and that me and my husband would work more hours. After that We were told that we qualify for a portion of the rent to be paid off if we paid the remaining balance 1st. Thank God we were able to come up with the money. And we went and paid what would’ve been the remaining balance. Because according to them and to R3, they couldn’t pay their part without us paying ours 1st so we did. And we sent in the proof, only for them to deny us because he wasn’t working 40 hours a week. … sooooo if thats the case, why not say that in the 1st place. Why would they tell us to pay that and then deny us after it was paid ?! Now we’re evicted and homeless.

Echo is GOOD regarding helping with food & clothing,; every four months. BUT, on the rent-help;: rents are so darn high, that they often don't have said funds. * What really hurt me is their policy of NOT helping ANY "singles" with any rent; period. Only "families", so I feel that is hurtful discrimination...!! *------ Always phone them before making the TRIP.

? Please Read! If I can even find the words to summarize my experiences in a simple way. The team here at ECHO Brandon is like a family and a support system I prayed for. From the moment I walked into the building Michelle, Nedi, and Iris has comforted me throughout my transition. My life turned upside quickly and MANY times I really didn’t know how something was going to happen and the MOMENT I thought things would fall apart they picked me back up and put me back in position. I had to rehabilitate not only myself but my 4children and they made the process so fulfilling I’m crying now thinking of the process. There are angels on earth and 3 of them work at this place for sure. From emergency housing, to stable housing, clothes, food, therapy, or something lighter like advice or a listening ear, etc. They were everything. They are the coparents every DV victims need in their transition! Oh and not to discredit the team at the front desk. They assisted my little ones many days when I was truly overwhelmed but needed to work with the team on paperwork and such. I appreciate you guys so much!!

They did not help a Mother that had fallen into financial hardship after she provided documents. They will help with food but not really financially. Upset at how they treated that motber

I have never been helped at an agency like we were here at our local Brandon Echo. As someone who hasn't had to seek help in many years - to say it is uncomfortable is an understatement. Michelle especially assisted me with so much personalized care and patience, but all of the front office ladies and volunteers here feel like family. In today's world I am accustomed to being treated as just the next number in line. I literally left Echo in tears yesterday ... of Joy ❤️, although I actually left empty handed - pending assistance. Even if echo can't help after I turn in the required documentation, I will still always remember the special and humane care we were shown yesterday. For me There is no price for Hope - and that is what i did leave Echo full of yesterday. Thank you Michelle and thank you Echo for being an enormous jewel to our community.
