Lieu mythique pour le groupe des Smiths. Excellent accueil par l’équipe avec des explications pertinentes. Boutique avec un second degré que j’adore. Par exemple à côté des différentes tailles de T-shirt « some Tshirts are bigger than others » en référence à la chanson « some girls are bigger than others » ou l’étiquette sur les bougies « there is a light that SOMETIMES goes out »

Mooie plek, natuurlijk door the smits. Maar binnen ook een aanrader. Hele vriendelijke vrijwillers die je graag wat willen vertellen. Ook het winkeltje wat er bij is is leuk. Wel wat kopen want dat kunnen ze goed gebruiken

I visited The Salford Lads Club one Saturday morning recently, I was aware of the connections it has with the Smiths but having looked at their website there is so much more to this place.
It is still a club and welcomes both boys and girls, they open their doors to the public on a Saturday morning and you can take a wander round with one of the volunteers, I had the pleasure of being shown around by a gentleman called Brian, such a nice chap, he showed me round their archives where they keep a record of every child who has been a member over the years, each membership card telling its own unique story.
They have a Boxing gym and ring upstairs and a snooker room, it really is a special place.
Then of course there is the Smiths room which brings a huge amount of visitors as well.
I won't go into much more detail as it might spoil your own visit, but to say it has featured in quite a few tv shows.
What an amazing place it is.

Morrissey was 'ere. So were a lot of people. Iconic scene of English music, devoid of stickers, graffiti, and other such stuff you would expect. Just off Regent Road, Salford - within walking distance from Deansgate.

Great looking building, but was undergoing renovations so not able to look around, apart from the Smiths Room and the cafe/shop. Some good souvenirs available for purchase. Small amount of parking around the building but don’t know if any restrictions.

This is a must see for Smith's fans. We are not fans but we really enjoyed the history of the area and the club. We went on a Saturday when they have several tour guides there who were members in their youth. They were so friendly and helpful and interesting.

Si eres fan de la música, lo serás de The Smiths, así que no dudes en ir. Cógete un taxi desde el centro (5£), porque si no es un paseíto. Merece muchísimo la pena. Son súper amables, te cuentan la historia del club y te hacen un tour completamente gratuito. Así que agradécelo comprando algo en la tienda.
