I had heard good things from neighbors and decided to try this league for my girls last spring. It was supposed to be an all girls team and when they didn’t have enough girls they gave us the option to decline or to play co-ed. We decided to still try it out. We had a really energetic coach that was very passionate about the sport. The office did not have the right sized shirts in stock. We were given the option of oversized shirts or buying ones without the RSA logo. The schedule for games turned out to be pretty hodge podge with games during the week and on Saturday’s. Some weeks we had no games and other weeks we had three. This was partly due to multiple rain outs. I would have preferred a more consistent schedule. Each game had a referee and they were all very good. Overall, the experience was okay. I was not impressed and would not try again or recommend.

Richardson Soccer Association is great! They are thorough and careful with everything they do to ensure safety and fair play. They protect the fairness of their league very very well. Unlike other associations with more flash and dash, RSA takes pride in their family first model. They really want to teach kids to take pride in respect and loyalty and fairness.

Just like all the professional leagues, they take their time and make sure they get things right and ensure fairness. They seem controlling to some, but that's not a bad thing when you see how awesome their focus is. They protect their purity of the product. And they do this by not allowing full team transfers from other leagues among other things. Which is great! I really appreciate how hard they work.

Overall, we've been beyond thrilled with RSA.

Have been with RSA for several years now. Switched over to a new team this past Fall and was a disaster! The coach did not allow ALL players the fair chance to play 50% of games. Some girls were rarely ever subbed out while others were subbed out repeatedly. Made the league aware of what was going on and found out that there were conflicts of interest, therefore nothing was done about the issue. Don't plan to return this Spring. Garland Soccer Association will be our next stop.

I'm a coach and looked at signing up a team of 1st and 2nd graders for fall soccer 2013 with RSA. This organization is very bureaucratic. They had so many rules for getting the kids registered. We were going to be transferring a team from the YMCA. They required two years of proof that kids had been playing together since some attended different schools in Richardson.. When I sent them a copy of our YMCA roster they still contacted the YMCA to verify. I am glad to say they YMCA didn't provide them roster information. Did the RSA really not believe me? This is just kids playing soccer here. RSA likes to control what kids are put onto which team. They have a committee that randomly makes those decisions. It's usually based on what school the kids attend. As a coach and father I think kids should be able to play on whatever team they want. Soccer is supposed to be fun and learning at this age not dictated by a bunch of silly rules and committees.
