The Dr was extremely nice and actually suggested some things to try that others doctors had not .. the ma was very rude . Asked me if we were going to stay with this practice . I assured him we would , but I don’t feel that it was his place to ask that question . His job is to take vital signs , and ask medical questions that was pertinent to that appointment. He was not professional at all .
His attitude was just not what it should be to be in the profession he is in . We will go back, but I feel it wasn’t his place to ask that question . He was just rude overall in his mannerisms and questions

I am surprised that there are 5star reviews at all. I have been losing blood for months. My daughter died May 27, 2024 of stage 4 Colin Cancer. I had to see the PA 1st. She spent 4 weeks trying to prove that I did not need a colonoscopy. When she finally decided that I DID need a colonoscopy, the group was unable (not willing) to deal with my Neuromuscular Disease. They had all info in advance. I now have to start over with another gastroenterology group that is taking another 6 weeks to see me. I am still losing blood with every BM no exception. It shud have been a red flag when the nurse told me that they allowed 20 minutes for each appointment. If you fit in with assembly line appointments & colonoscopies you might be okay with this group.

This is my first time at Atlanta Gastroenterology and I was quite impressed. The front desk staff are kind, welcoming and efficient. The MA who I saw at my appointment (Anthony) was amazing. He asked me very detailed questions and was thoughtful and considerate. His overall demeanor was the catalyst the positive review I am leaving. I highly recommend Atlanta Gastroenterology.

If not for Heather, Naomi and Dr Patel, I would have found another physician. The office has been so poorly run, the office manager would just sit there half listening. Finally they seem to have gotten some new people. Hopefully this year will be better. Poor office staff makes for bad reviews.

The communication with the physicians is awful. You leave a message, and no one returns your call. The scheduling for procedures is a low priority. They do not follow up. Will be finding a new physician that cares about their patients.

The non-clinical staff makes the Keystone Cops look like a think tank! I have never heard "customer this is what you need to do" as opposed to how can I help you with your question my life! At the time of making my appointment in Canton, I had to work to get the attention of the person away from their cell phone, no one has been able to answer my insurance questions, robo calls are coming in as spam and then today when someone finally called me back to tell me that I had a very large co-pay to pay before my procedure, they got perturbed when I started asking questions.

The process has been challenging from the start, so after this morning, I made the decision to decline going forward with them.
It took me 3 phone calls and 40 minutes to get someone to cancel my procedure! What a joke!

Went here because my wife had used them in the past so I overlooked the 2.5 star review. I now understand why it is only 2.5 stars. I saw Kelli Strickland NP as the first appointment on a Monday morning. She didn't seem to have the time of day for me. I tried explaining how my issue had changed/progressed after closely monitoring it only to be ignored and finally got my question answered with her standing in the hallway and me having to ask again (before she got away and I couldn't) for everyone else in the area to hear since she was in such a rush to get out of there. She then proceeded to tell me that it was highly unlikely what I said happened. I was never anything but kind and thankful and to be fair, they weren't rude, but I won't be going back. Post examination, she never asked if I had any questions or if I had any concerns. I had to insist on asking again. After I left, I got a call from the pharmacy that the NP suggested do the compounding only to find out they were a self pay pharmacy and didn't take insurance. So if you have other options, might be worth trying them first.
