Very grateful to be here with my Daughter, while she gets her treatments. Place is very clean and remodeled (some floors are finished for now). Staff is friendly and it’s great when we have local volunteers provide us meals quite often. Thank You all, we couldn’t have been able to do this cancer journey without you and this warm, inviting place.

Great place to go during treatment. Atmosphere is good support for patients and caregivers as everyone staying is going through treatment or helping one that is. They also offer lift rides to and from doctors while there. Security is also good for parking. Staff gets 5 stars also.

The Hope Lodge is basically a cancer hotel for people who do not live nearby for their cancer treatment. Each room has a TV, a mini fridge, private bathroom, desk, recliner chair, and two twin beds.

There's two kitchens, you need to buy and cook your own food. Often they have different groups come in and cook dinner for the residents.

They have a community dining room and living room. Every floor has its own laundry, and their own sunroom. There's also a movie room with tons of movies that you can either watch in the room or take to your room to watch. There's also a library, audio books, music CDs, and a craft room.

Everything is clean, everyone was helpful and accommodating. You will have to complete paperwork and tours and sign agreements. When you don't feel well especially after just leaving the hospital was difficult for me. Other than the initial adjustment everything went better than expected.

Hope Lodge was a major convenience for my caregiver and me. Surgery check in was at 0600 hours, which meant leaving home at 0430 for my daughter to pick me up. We appreciate the ACS, staff, and volunteers!

Covet Sunshine

I cannot express just how wonderful Hope Lodge KC has been for people like myself needing a place to stay near cancer treatments. There are kitchen facilities available, plenty of fridge, freezer, and pantry space allotted for each room to store their groceries. The beds are comfortable; facility is kept clean; they offer day rooms and a movie room for guests to use; and the staff has been phenomenally supportive and friendly each time we have been referred to stay there. While they will accept monetary donations from guests, they have never solicited or pressured us in any way to do so, not have we ever been made to feel obligated. Their service to the cancer community is world-class and we are grateful for the level of support and commitment they exhibit.

Our friends are staying there while he undergoes treatment for Glioblastoma. Clean and quiet while providing living arrangements.
