Tried to add many unnecessary charges along with selling a poorly maintained car as if it had no issues. After telling them respectfully that I am no longer interested in the car they tried to get some old salesman to try convincing me it’s a great car worth my time.

Stay far away from this place if you do not have much car knowledge or experience.

Photo is of the old man looking at all the issues I stated. He didn’t even know what was wrong with the car. Such a joke of a company.

If you are thinking about going to this dealership, please rethink this. I was looking at a car at this dealership and traveled 9 hours to get a car from them, made many phone calls and talked about what I was trading in, and the amount expected for the trade in and the amount I would pay for the car to be purchased. After traveling 9 hours to this dealer, they tried the bait and switch on me, if you don’t know what that is they advertise one price and change the price when you go to get the vehicle. They changed the amount I was getting for my trade also; they wanted me to pay 4,000 more than the advertised price for the car and changed the trade in price from 20,000 to 16,000 when the vehicle I was trading in was worth even more than 20,000. When me and my boyfriend asked for the paper used to try and explain these changes, they would not reproduce the paper for us to take a picture of because they knew this is illegal and would give the evidence to prosecute them in the court of law. I told them what they were trying to do was illegal and I would not do business with them. The car was a 2021 Honda Pilot SE with 48,454 mile on it and asking 26,498 dollars and the pictures of this car are deceiving it has scratches on it and the inside has picked marks on the leather and the wheels are all messed up and the car is missing parts, in total it needed around 1,000 dollars put in right away to make this car even close to being the way it should be and like I said after getting there wanted me to pay 31,000 out the door for this car. Now the car being traded in was a 2019 Dodge Challenger with 50,000 miles on it in extremely great shape and trade in value was 21,000- 25,000 and I know going to a dealer you get a little less but not 16,000 for a car like that. Pictures below of the trade in and the car they are trying to sale Now at 25,995 as of today even less than I was looking at on 5/25/2024. In less than a 10 minute such on google I found the same car in New York City 2 hours away and called that dealer ship and went straight there. This dealership was so much better that I can’t even tell you how great and I got the exact same car at the new dealership with 10,000 miles less on the car and in much better shape than the car Axis Chevrolet was trying to sale me at an even higher price. The dealership I went to was at Empire Volvo cars Smithtown in Saint James NY. Pictures below of the car I bought. It was a 9 out of 10 when buying a used car and they were very straight to deal with. I couldn’t be any happier with my car now and I would highly recommend going to any other dealer than Axis Chevrolet to deal with.

Now to come on here and say that I was wrong on how I put a bait and switch. This just goes to show that if I would have got a copy of that paper of your quote-unquote in-house paper. I could have even displayed more proof of how crooked this dealership is. If you don't believe what I'm saying check with the better Business bureau on their ratings.

I came in for information on the new Blazer EV and met with Adam O. He’s the nicest car salesman I've met in a long time. He took the time to thoroughly show me the car and explain all its features. I was torn between the Blazer and the Model Y, so I went home to think it over. Throughout the process, Adam was always available to answer my questions and address my concerns, especially regarding the transition from gas to EV and the available incentives. I would absolutely recommend Adam to my friends and family.

After purchasing a vehicle in from another dealership in Brooklyn and having it die on the way home, I thought I had found a reputable dealership when we bought a truck from Axis Chevrolet. Welp, boy was I wrong! I requested specific service to be performed on the truck before we purchased it. Despite purchasing a vehicle with over 100,000 miles on it, a diesel truck can last over 500,000 miles taken care of properly. The vehicle was not given a tuneup like I specifically requested, air intake and catalytic converter issues were not addressed like I specifically asked, here's the kicker....the truck had no diesel fuel it, 85% oil life and11% oil filter life and no windshield wiper fluid and was low on transmission and brake fluid.. Thank goodness that since we were over 100 miles away. I decided to have the vehicle towed home, had I driven it in this condition, it would've also died on the highway on the way the way home too. I immediately texted my sales representative who instructed me to bring the vehicle back. I told him I was too afraid to drive it that far and I wanted to know what could be done about it.

As I sit here today, the check engine light came on, showing a code regarding air intake/catalytic converter issues. So, three weeks later, and after filing a formal complaint with General Motors, no one has reached out to me from the dealership, after calling at least 3x in the past few days.

The dealership is so so bad that an employee texted me that he quit because they screwed him over too!

Avoid this place at all costs!

Edit: After having the truck for several weeks, we finally picked it up on Saturday and it's now leaking oil....the nightmare continues! The dealership is on the verge of putting my small business out of business!

Edit 11-1-24: Dealership has now stopped responding to resolve this matter as previously agreed in writing so it looks like we may have to take them to Court!

Working with Andy was truly a pleasure. He was patient with us and transparent with all of the nuances surrounding the trade-in of our old vehicle and the purchase of a new vehicle. He made sure to walk us through our options step-by-step. Make sure to check him out when you visit Axis. Thanks, Andy! ?

I love Axis Chevrolet dealership! I purchased my last two vehicles with them. My experiences were great!!! And I am definitely a satisfied customer. So much that I brought my son back to purchase his first vehicle. Samantha the salesperson helped him and made the whole process smooth. She was wonderful and walked him through every step. I worked with Luis and my experience was great. We drove 3.5 hours and I would definitely do it again. We are already planning to come back to replace our other vehicle. The car I originally made an appointment to see was sold right as I arrived. But Luis showed me other cars that had similar specs and in the same price range. I ended up purchasing something I like even more than the car I had originally came to see. Scott was great with explaining the warranty options. They have a huge inventory you are bound to find something you love. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend.

I recently had a frustrating experience with Adam from Axis Chevrolet. I reached out to inquire about a car and Adam quickly texted me back, sending pictures of the vehicle. When I asked about the pricing, as I needed to leave work early, his responses were unnecessarily snarky. He kept making smart comments like "you can't buy a car over the phone" and "we won't sell a car over the phone."

When I asked for a manager's contact information so I could call in, Adam's response was more condescending—he said, Just call in and ask for the manager when the operator answers." I remained polite, simply requesting the price and the manager's details, but his messages didn't change.

This type of customer service is incredibly disappointing and reflects poorly on a business. I was genuinely interested in purchasing the car, but this kind of attitude is what drives potential customers away. I don't understand how Axis Chevrolet allows employees like Adam to interact with customers this way. Wouldn’t recommend based on this experience.
