As a new member I am already disappointed in this program. How is it you base your customer service times to service everyone else except safety officers We work drastically different hours than your other areas. Also during the orientation we sit thru how is it we leave the meeting without at least being given a temporary log in and making sure we can log in before the end of this meeting? It is the least you can do. I get to have the pleasure of being forced into the plan I do not want as being in training I will not have the time frame to make a call to the customer service line. I really hope something positive happens that will change my rating

Only option for state employees, so they do whatever they want. They aren't looking out for the people that pay their salaries. Avoid at all costs.

I'm extremely disappointed about the lack of knowledge about PERA and it being mandatory if you work in the school systems. They deduct more than SS and do not take out SS so does that mean at the end of the year I will owe more in taxes? I do not plan on retiring from the educational system, where do my deductions go? Why does that make me in the negative with my SS deductions for the year? Something is amiss in this system. The main thing, it is against my Freedom to make it mandatory.

An incomprehensibly horrible bureaucracy whose policies are the furthest thing from member-friendly you could find. They operate as if it were still the 1990s while spewing 'safety of the members' the whole time. There are many rules that are hard to understand, and even simple processes like filling out a form to rollover funds are filled with steps to misguide, confuse, and ultimately delay you so they can keep your funds for as long as possible (they, of course, deny this). Some employees were at least very kind on the phone, others acted like the organization they work for is their misunderstood parent who just needs their kids to stick up for them. It was 10X easier to rollover funds from TIAA than it has been from CO Pera.

The absolute worst! I’ve had all my information for my refund submitted in June & have yet to see any progress! That’s totally unacceptable! When you call customer support, they have the worst attitudes, and when you ask to speak to someone higher they explain how they can’t transfer you to anybody higher and all they can do is schedule a call back. Not once have I received a call back, and every time I call them back for an update on my status they schedule me with another call back. When I explain to them that, it’s been past the 4-6 weeks mark for my refund, I get told “we understand, but I’ll schedule you a call back.” Not to be rude, but the customer support is useless. They don’t have answers to anything and don’t attempt to seek them.
