This is where i first learned how to shoot, and since moving away from this area, man, i had no idea how good i had it. quiet location, 100, 200, 50 yard heated indoor range, skeet shooting during the week, AND your allowed to fire black powder.

i may have been living in victoria on the time, but it was absolutely worth the 50 minute drive down the malahat to get to this place. it has never been crowded, a single time that ive been there, and, being a bit of an anti social prick, NOONE EVER BOTHERED ME! the range officers were present, and they would pop out just to check what you were shooting and that you were at the right range, but after that they left me alone. they have cameras set up that live feed into their little clubhouse, so they can make sure everybody is safe while also not hovering over your shoulder. They're chatty guys and love to answer any question i had, but were also more than happy to just leave me be.

some of these other reviews complain about some of the regulations and rules here, but in my experience (2022-2024), i had more freedom at this range, than any of the other ranges i have been to since.

its so peaceful, even when people are shooting, and i have never encountered a child that is stupid, loud, and annoying. there is a local wilderness trail that is literally 25 feet from the gate that leads down to what i believe is an offshoot of the cowichan river. once while traversing it, i encountered a lady taking a walk, with her HERD OF GOATS...

i loved this place so much that before i moved out to alberta i made sure to buy one of their hats, and i keep my old membership in a plastic case. i had no idea how good i had it..

PS. Also highly recommend the gas station cafe place that is on the way to the range, the name escape me at the moment, but you cant miss it. their ham and swiss pannini still haunts my dreams.

Was a great range before all the snowflake locals complained about the noise of a range that was there before they built their own homes. They added sound suppression tubes which absolutely ruins the experience due to the inability to stand and shoot as well as positioning freedom because of their shape and size

I might have spent more time shooting my mouth off than shooting my guns! For me this is a comfortable club house where I can shoot the breeze and shoot some paper. I took a seminar here on long distance shooting that was just excellent, I learned so much in just a few hours.

The club isn't legitimate. Leadership is dishonest and has no credibility in the community. Club should be ordered to close.
