I went in the afternoon around 1 pm. Was out in 20 minutes. 3 lines, 3 different encounters with employees all very positive. I read the reviews and was ready for a negative experience. It didn't happen. Completed 3 different tasks at that. The longest wait time was less than 5 minutes. My experience there was very efficient. I went as prepared as possible and the rest was super easy.

My appointment was at 12pm. Showed up at 11:45am as per instructions. It’s 1:47pm. I’m still waiting to get called for my Real ID. I was told the appointment time means nothing. (Most of the employees have been nice at least.)

The conditions of this government office are incredible. It seems that since it was built they never gave it any maintenance. The bathroom is disgusting. we paid tax to have order and better conditions than this.

It may seem chaotic for a first time visitor, but the staff here know what they're doing, and are doing their best turning over a large number of visitors and documents constantly. They are very helpful, although they can't always make any singular person's process more convenient since they are so pressed for time, they try when they can. I've never had a problem with attitude from the 5-6 staff members I've spoken to across two visits - they're professional, helpful, and cheerful. The staff makes the excruciating wait a lot more bearable. Huge shout-out to DMITRI and JITANA at counter 4 and 3!!! Thank you very much for helping me today - I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Terrible I hate going here but they said had to I was missing a point to renew my driver license. I had a letter from njmvc but that wasn't a point and my veh title wasn't a point. Name and address was on it. Hope i don't have to go back here wasted 4 hours for nothing. Appointment only

Extremely Frustrating Experience

I wish I could give this place a -5 star rating. My experience was horrible, primarily due to terrible customer service.

The staff lacked basic knowledge about the documents needed for my license transfer. Each representative provided conflicting information, which was incredibly frustrating.

I had to make two appointments just to transfer my license from one state to another, wasting my time and increasing my stress.

Overall, this experience was deeply unsatisfactory. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for better customer service and a smoother process.

I was always given a very bad impression of the DMV in NEWARK NJ, two weeks ago I had the great opportunity to go to that DMV office in NEWARK NJ, WOW!! WOW!! ""EXCELLENT....EXCELLENT attention and service!! I loved it!! They attended to me in 8 minutes!! All the staff was super efficient!!
