Outstanding service for my first primary. They were very kind and thorough. Dr. Carpenter took her time, showed compassion, and exceeded my expectations as a care giver. The facilty was small but very clean and updated. A tv and water was provided in the waiting area as well as a beautifully decorated restroom. This the first time I felt like an important patient and veteran not like most of the VA facilities I have visited. The office staff were helpful and nice. I highly recommend this VA medical facility

Please tell me how to reach anyone via phone. I call daily and can’t get through or phone be answered. If I lived closer to the clinic I would drive to it. I so regret missing a call from nurse Jane because I know I won’t be able to return her call. I do use secure messaging. Please seek ways to improve the clinic process to support us better.

Don’t even bother trying fellow veterans. I’ve tried to get in there since August and even talking to Crystal, the gatekeeper, with a terrible attitude, will get your anxiety way high just out of her complete disrespect for you. And that’s just in the first thirty seconds….Im in Farmersville and willing to drive to anywhere but here.

I recently established care at this facility and the only issue I ran into was getting someone to answer the phone to get me scheduled.
After trying at a couple different times on various days I just did it over and over and finally got an answer and put on the schedule.
Once that occurred everything else was smooth and I had no issues getting my labs done and having my visit with NP Ms. Thomas.
Everyone I interacted with in the clinic was friendly and professional. I did not feel like NP Thomas was rushing me and she was very professional.
I don't see any issues moving forward treating at this facility.

Everyone has their points, statements and opinions, and here is mine, take it or leave it. I’ve been using this facility for 6 years now and have had nothing but GREAT SERVICE!
I feel as the low ratings could be that people are impatient, unwilling and just plain lazy when it comes to their health. Being a retired veteran, I have had my run-in with VA facilities, and yes they come with good and bad. It’s the government and it’s paid for with our tax dollars. Doesn’t mean we should get menial service but it does mean that there is an influx of patients (because who doesn’t love free health care) and more than likely an underpaid and understaffed medical team. Every situation and medical problem is different, however some people need to put in the work to stay healthy. If by chance this facility can’t keep up with YOUR health issues, then I recommend paying out of pocket and going somewhere that better suits you and your medical needs. This clinic, in my honest opinion, is a clean and very practical facility for a U.S. government clinic and is fitted with a great group of nurses, practitioners and doctors.
I hope this helps with others decisions and thoughts and also hope it gives insight to those that have left menial/demeaning comments for a review. Most people’s health issues are their own fault. Can’t always blame DNA and sure as hell can’t blame those that are working to make you feel better at the cost of next to nothing pay, by a health care system that cost you very little if next to nothing.

I’ve always had a good experience at the Greenville TX VA clinic. The wait is not long. Doctor is thorough.

I've seen a provider here to establish care and then again for an annual in December. I once called for an eyelid stye, something I was told to go to the urgent care for and a head cold after that while I was diagnosed with cancer. I never got a return call or appointment to be seen. After being on cancer medications, I acquired high blood pressure. While I finally got into see the NURSE, the doctor
finally put me on a blood pressure medication. With that, I have still had high blood pressure, reporting my readings and still after a week no change in my medication or dose. It is now Friday and wait with diastolic readings over 100. I feel completely neglected by this facility. When a year ago, it was the front office staff who was not compassionate (one in particular), all who now, I must say, are more professional and compassionate, it is now the medical staff that is lacking in triage and compassion. I agree with a fellow reviewer...parking lot empty, one person in the waiting room.... this facility is in need of a major change in every way. It doesn't look like a matter of "over worked."

Haven't been to VA in a while and was tired of going to Dallas when local clinic here. Have been experiencing allergies like crazy, and the super helpful stafg was able to set appointment up in 2 days- much better than the typical 6 months I've become accustomed to and why haven't been using VA. Way to go!
