Why are they always so rude and inefficient here? Especially Laura file what a jerk she was to my elderly mother in here trying to help - gave us such a hard time again as they do every year for a beach pass for no reason when we're just trying to pay - been residents for my whole life and it never gets easier - she never even apologized but suggested my 90 year old mom use the website - which isn't even possible with the type of pass we need - truly unbelievable and unnecessary rude behavior - hope they can find a way to make it right but I'm sure they'll just respond with more rudeness and lies if they even bother at all- maybe just have no capacity for human decency - so sad and around the holidays too - they should heed all those quotes on their desks and be kind but i guess they are not able - lady serving food at the residents beach was so kind though - office staff like laura ould a learn a lesson in customer service

What are you thinking when you say you are banning short term renters? When I think of short term renter i think of anything under 1 month.
If you are here 1 month (4 weeks), that means you are retired most likely. However most winter birds stay at least 3 months. Mine do, January through March (3 months).

This is their home for 3 months (12 weeks), and they deserve to go to the beach they have gone for the last 3 years, Residence Beach. Again, retired families that have called Marco their homes for years.

After reading the ruling I found it so disrespectful and dismissive. These part time residents revive our economy December through March, why do we want to hinder it?

Please reconsider only because it is common sense and the right thing to do. Our economy has been hurting tremendously why make it worst?
Thank you all for the work that you do!
Sincerely!
Su Oliver

A quiet, beautiful, amenity for Marco Island residents. (There are other beach access points and parking for short-term renters and day visitors.) Amenities for residents include tiki huts, covered picnic areas, grills, a playground, clean restrooms, showers, a grill, Friday fish fries (in season), sand toys, child life preservers, benches, concerts, and more. Residents can purchase short-term passes for visitors (subject to a fee, and the resident must be present). It is one of the benefits of buying a property on the island.

You can't apply for a beach pass even 2 weeks before the next year's start date. Instead you have to wait until one week into the following year to apply for that year, ridiculous. Place is run like it is the 1950s....
