There is a conflict of interest between the Thunder academy coaches and the soccer association. We decided not to participate in the academy because it is co-ed and have since had multiple issues with this association. Also - beware they will never answer your messages whether it be voicemail or email as they are never in the office. My advice- go somewhere else that has their stuff together. This club is completely unprofessional and disorganized. A real shame for those of us who were excited about participating in soccer.

Don't let the other negative reviews fool you. This is a large Association with close to 1,000 players, and it takes a lot of man power (All who are volunteers) to run it. I've been a volunteer coach here for several years and can tell you that they all work hard to make it a great place for our youth to participate in. Sure, there's always things that can be improved upon, but I, for one, commend them for everything that they do and the time that they dedicate to it. Quite frankly, if one has an opinion on how "they should be doing better," but they're not doing anything at all to "make it better" (i.e. Coaching, Field Marshall, Concessions, Facilities, Join the Board, Administrative, etc.), their opinion is irrelevant. So, have no fear, if your kid wants to play soccer, this is a great place to sign him/her up.
