Very pleased with the thorough and prompt service I received here. I had a very complicated set of paperwork I needed to go through related to obtaining and selling vehicles from an estate, and they got through it amazingly fast and I’m very happy it was all taken care of.

I hope I’m getting her name right.. Kimberly was extremely helpful, first over the phone and then when I actually went in. I purchased a vehicle and I’m also from out of state so I was a little unfamiliar with title transfer and registration but she made it easy for me to take care of everything. Thanks again!

Friendly, fast and efficient! Very short wait times. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Miss Valerie. She was so friendly and polite. She definitely made the tag renewal experience enjoyable. Went to transfer a used 2010 truck. 1st trip there was a rip in the title and one person said it was okay because all the information was there. She questioned the loan sign off info said she needed the letter that came with the title.
2nd trip, different person, gave her the actual letter that came from the loan company, she said we now need a notarized letter from the lender, from 10 years ago and we needed to pay and get a clear title first because that one has a rip. Seller lives in Ouray county so a trip to Ouray and got a clear title. Corporate president signed off on this new title. Back for the 3rd time. Another different person, now says does this company have partners, no it is a Corporation. If there are other owners we need another form signed stating that fact. No its a corporation, the president signed it. Oh you need insurance or we can't give you plates. Why would I buy insurance when I can't get it transferred? I call our insurance agent and get coverage. Finally got it transferred and then after I leave I get a call saying one of the other people there says I need a form stating there are no other owner.

By far the worst service I have received in a while! No customer service whatsoever, not a friendly worker in this facility. The lady I had went to to get my car registered was very rude, she didn’t care to answer my questions nicely or efficiently. Just told me I was wrong and the lady I talked to last month misinformed me and didn’t want to explain to me why or what I should do to get my issue resolved. She went and grabbed her manager which was also a very rude individual. The lady that misinformed me wouldn’t even look my way so that I could ask her why she misinformed me and wouldn’t fix my problem or try to come up with a resolution. She kept her head down put on her sunglasses grabbed her belongings and quickly exited the building. I don’t appreciate the way these ladies handle their customers. I get some days aren’t going to be easy and dealing with people isn’t the best job but they chose to be in customer service. Treat your peers and community the way you want to be treated. I’d give them no stars if it were an option. Hopefully I get my car registered before my tags expire!! THANKS AGAIN MONTROSE COUNTY CLERKS

4 months ago I went in and got an honorable discharge veteran plate for one of my motorcycles, no problems at all. I was given a challenge coin and thanked for my service. Today I went in for an honorable discharge veteran plate for my new motorcycle and was denied due to not having my DD214 with me. I don't see the difference. Won't be voting for the current clerk, that's for sure.

I experienced very poor service at this location. There was a line out the door and only two of six staff members were helping clients. It took over an hour to accomplish a very simple task. The staff member that finally assisted me was very helpful, but the operating procedures at this office are very poor.
