It’s a place that u can gather yourself but on the down side it’s favoritism if you trying to get back on your feet the one counseler for the men is bias and don’t really do what they speak if you gonna help someone help them it’s attitudes and alll type of descrepencies when the higher ups are not around all rules should apply for everybody

Went there in need of food and was turned away because I didn't attend
church service. I am not a faith bound person. So I was denied food.

Education matters! Tell me how can you prove your a resident of Will county when your homeless? If I'm not mistaken you have to have a physical address to get an ID or driver's license so how do you make that happen in order to even get services from this facility!

I stayed there for 2 weeks when I was down on my luck. They serve meals during the week and have case managers to help with resources. Most of the staff was people that had experienced homelessness themselves so that was nice cuz they can relate. Mrs Austin case worker extordinaire has much knowledge and will work hard for you until she won't. She's a person that uses her authority foe about as much bad as good. Just remember to smile and nod, smile and nod and stay off her radar or if she's in a way your butt will be put out quick is she wants you gone. No one should use their authority to hurt people and I'm sure she does exactly that on a regular basis. And if your not a resident if the state u can be put out even if there's open beds especially if the queen thinks so. Sad.....

Showers between 1 PM - 2 PM. Three square meals a day. Free clothes to those who need them, assistance for those who need to get their lives back on track, as well as a program that provides housing and rehabilitation for both addicts and those who seem to have a string of misfortune preventing them from proceeding in life. There are rules that you have to follow here, but if you're able to maintain the policies set for you, you will be truly blessed. The people here are so friendly, you feel as though you've developed a family. I recommend this place for anyone seeking to better their lives, whether it be the meal you need in the morning to start your day off right, or just a bed to keep you warm at night.

This place does not resemble God's work. The staff is always bitter to the people who need their services. I have actually stayed here a few years back during hard times. It was the most awful experience I have ever faced. I choose living in a tent in the woods during the winter than be put down here on a daily. You are forced to go to church every day for 2 hours in order to stay here. Also you the homeless person are to pay on a sliding scale for your stay. $1 each day for 7 days, $2 each day for 7 days, and so on. You cannot wear your clothes in the facility and are made to wear their nasty clothes including tighty whities. It is absolutey the worst place for any homeless person to end up. NEVER DONATE TO THIS PLACE. What a Sham
