When I moved to Las Vegas, I was seeking an organization that not only has principles that support the community, but more importantly, provide actionable steps within the community. The NAACP has provided that and so much more!!! The current president, Quentin, is hands-on with his leadership approach and has a strong, respectable voice in the community.

I joined the NAACP almost two years ago because of the current President Quentin Savwoir. I’ve never seen anyone more diligent and passionate about helping others, and mind you this is an unpaid role. Just an amazing job he’s doing representing the organization.

I love my NAACP branch! The programming, education and way that they show up for our community is amazing. I know that I can depend on them to protect our civil rights. This branch is one of the oldest and boldest and I love what they do!

The LV NAACP Branch has a rich and storied history of advancing civil rights in the Valley. The leadership has been hard at work creating systems that make the branch more functional and available to the community. All are welcome to join the Branch and help create meaningful and lasting change. S/O to the Branch Treasurer, the Branch Secretary, the Asst. Secretary and the *NEW* Office Manager - the real MVP’s!

I appreciate the organization being available. You know the membership is only $30? That’s pretty affordable to me. I’ve been in their monthly meeting on third Saturdays at Pearson Center and they are extremely informative. Looking forward to seeing what else this local branch does under new leadership. The new leadership took over in 2023.
