This year we signed up for a 6 v 6 league, and when we all showed up on week 1, it now became a 5v5 league in a limited, small field. We've tried to make the best of it but definitely not what we signed up for, meaning everyone would receive less playing time...

Additionally, Footy asks for your shirt size when you first sign up, but then state that all teams receive the same allocation of sizes. This is the second season playing with them and they have been unable to get me the correct jersey size two seasons in a row. It doesn't make sense to me how they give each team the same breakout of sizes knowing not everyone will get the correct shirt size they should be playing with.

I reached out to Footy to try and get an correct jersey size and have been unable to guarantee the shirt correct shirt size... It's been a very disappointing 2 seasons with them and I am inclined to use another league provider going forward.

Amazing experience with NYC Footy! My team and I had a great experience in the Spring! Zimanta, Tarek, and the staff overall were so insanely accommodating of my super annoying, demanding, and constant requests. They helped me move my team between 3 different leagues, change my roster constantly, considered rescheduling requests, etc.

They are very responsive and communicative, with the goal being to cater an awesome experience for the teams and players in the league.

Honestly they deserve flowers. I'd send them if I knew the address (or how to send flowers). But yeah top class experience in the league.

Frustrating organization is my only complaint. All three seasons my league has started after the “tentative date”, including once over a month later on a completely different field. They do note that it is a tentative start date which is totally fair, but it’s also fair to you say can’t really plan around the leagues as a result.

In season is usually pretty smooth but I usually hit an issue a season. My game today started around an hour late, and last season they moved the championship game a week later the week of. Sandbagging in the lowest couple of levels is an issue (but to be expected).

It’s frustrating because the actual people it attracts are great, and I do look forward to every season. Just wish they could sort out the operational issues.

been playing in NYC footy for a few years now. Easily the most accessible and organized league. Made some great friendships from it but the most impressive part was when a charity soccer tournament I set up needed goals. Out of 10+ soccer groups, NYC footy were the only ones who got back to me and lent us the goals no questions asked.

they not only care about providing a fun league but they also care about giving back to the community and enabling a shared soccer experience for all. because of them, the tournament was a success and we raised money for a local crown heights soccer youth group.

if you need a league, NYC footy is IT!!!

NYC Footy is such a wonderful community, especially if you're new to NYC and looking for a squad to socialize with. As someone who has never been super confident in their own athletic talents, I feel incredibly comfortable knowing Footy is made up of awesome people who know how to have fun on and off the field.

Played in the fall league 2023 at Sternberg Park on team ABCDE FC which was Pigeon 5 beginners because I had never played soccer before. When I arrived at the first game I soon realized I was probably the only or one of the very few actual beginners and this league is just full of fake elitist type people with no integrity who played college level soccer and choose to play Pigeon 5 to take it super easy and just stroke their egos. Same thing with the BetterPlayer practices. So the Pigeons/Division levels listed in the photo below mean absolutely nothing.

In spite of all that I did actually enjoy playing soccer and gave it my best effort. I just wish the divisions were better enforced.
