I recently visited the Omar Welfare Foundation for an asylum-related appointment, and my experience was quite disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the front desk staff were unprofessional and lacked basic knowledge about the services they were supposed to provide. Despite being scheduled for an in-person consultation, no one informed me about the consultation fees beforehand.

Upon arrival, I was handed a form that required sensitive information, much of which was irrelevant to the reason for my visit. When I expressed concern and asked for clarification, the front desk agent dismissed my questions, insisting I fill out the form without providing any further explanation.

To make matters worse, a woman who had just entered the office abruptly asked if I had paid the fees. The entire process felt suspicious and unorganized, leaving me with the impression that this could be some sort of scheme, or at the very least, a poorly run operation.

Given that this organization claims to be a 501(c)(3), I wonder if they receive any government assistance. Unfortunately, my first impression has led me to decide not to proceed with their services, and I would not recommend this office to anyone in our community.

I recently accompanied a friend, who is a client of OWA, to help him with his case and ask some questions. When we arrived at the OWA office for our scheduled appointment, I informed the front desk, and we were asked to wait. After waiting for quite some time, I approached the front desk again, explaining that it was my lunch break and that I needed to return to work soon. The staff member responded in an unprofessional manner, telling me that I should continue to wait.
Eventually, we were called in to speak with the attorney. During the meeting, my friend asked questions about his case, but the lady assisting us was very unprofessional and rude throughout the conversation. At the end of the meeting, she directed us back to the lobby to wait for the documents.
Before that, I submitted a review about the poor experience. To my surprise, the same lady approached me, demanding my personal Google account, and told me that since I wasn’t a client, I had no right to submit a review. She then unprofessionally told me to leave her office.

Very disappointed in OWA service.

Charged me so much money for filling for my Mother-in-Law.
Had to reach out multiple times.
I only used them cause of recommendation of someone, but that was a mistake.

I would recommend to stay away from Kiran and her company she basically scammed us.

Very upset with OWA. Never using them again.

I arrived to Omar Welfare association in Houston after a long debate with myself because I didn't want to start any kind of trial after my divorce, who left me with a lot of fraud in my bank, business and serious emotional distress. I found out that they are very understanding of my issues.. the lawyers and secretaries took seriously my demands trying to help me the best of their knowledge. I really am Considering this business as a well structured, very
