DO NOT JOIN the Union! Staff will not see you. No one answers the phone. They will not call you if you leave a call back number. I've been trying to cancel my Dental for the past six months and unable to do so! My union dues go to support themselves and their politicking while I get no one to help me. I can't even quit because there is no one to help you! What a SCAM! DANGEROUS homeless surrounding the building. Don't go; you won't see staff anyways. Only union volunteers trying to scam others to join the union.

They tell you that you HAVE to sign up or else.. should be illegal what they are doing. Trying to cancel is near impossible and costs money to send a certified letter of cancelation only for them to ignore or reject it. DO NOT JOIN. just walk away and save yourself from signing up with the devils contract they try to force upon you.

This seiu 2015 are doing fraud signing up people with out consent. I called to cancel the membership I never sign up for and the person over the phone name Angie insisted For me to send a certified letter .not good they scamming and doing fraud with out peoples consent.

they didn't tell me i was locked into a 1 year contract with them and they would take money out monthly from me. i was forced to come to the meeting to apply to ihss and they just hand the papers to everyone telling us to sign it. they charge 45$ per month

I'm shocked at all the negative posts I'm reading. I had to chime in. I've been a member for over 20 years. As of this date in 2024 I only pay $15 per month. When I was in between recipients they allowed me to self pay my dues and insurance benefits. I almost always get a live person when I call. Also, at least twice in the last 15 years the union hardship program has granted me $1k each time for utility bills when things were tight. Maybe you guys are talking about the branches in other cities, but the one in L.A. County rocks. I remember when overtime was unheard of...the union fought for us getting overtime pay for anything over 40 hours per week. I stand behind this union, and I am NOT even an employee nor a spokesperson.

They take money without written permission and when we asked them to cancel the membership they insist it has to be written, mailed to them certified mail and they will not cancel the membership until feb next year. this is horrible. I waited over and hour to talk to a rude guy of the phone.
