Vehicle theft is very high in this community. Sharpstown Homeowners Association is highly rude, disrespectful and has a lot of favoritism going on. I feel targeted, harassed and discriminated against. The City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods, has been called out to my home multiple times for the same reason.

Per Sharpstown Civic Association (SCA) you are NOT allowed to park or storage any commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, inoperable vehicles, boats etc. Per SCA you must move any vehicle you have on your driveway every 72 hours. However, there are so many others with the issues above. I have personally spoken to some people in my neighborhood with inoperable vehicles. They tell me they have been living here for years and the vehicle has been on their driveway with no issues or problems with the City of Houston nor the SCA.
My husband called the SCA and “the person” on the other end was very rude and hung up on my husband. The next day Steven Inman with the City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods, shows up at my house to inspect once again. Another inspector just came yesterday. THIS IS INSANE!

I drove around my neighborhood, took pictures and spoke to people. I see multiple violations just on my block and I have yet to turn ANYONE in!
I’m being told an “anonymous person” is reporting my home, I don’t understand why. We don’t bother anyone. In my opinion some homeowners in this community do shady business with SCA.

Definitely this "civic association" suppose try the effort of the best for the community but only look the "violations" in some homes forgetting another ones really big violations and definitely they don't take any action about it, they supposedly enforce ridiculous and vicious faults but the some of the most important for the community like vehicles blocking the sidewalks and sidewalks heavily damaged endangering to the public walkers also they suppose the effort of the parking of commercial vehicles and the neighborhood it's full of comercial Vans and big trucks with trailers, also many houses have really oldest and damaged cars for years in theirs drive ways and they don't do nothing about it also you can see all the cars parked in the grass and they can't see that too? Why they aren't doing nothing with all the houses are being used like body shops and mechanical shops and they don't do nothing with the big violators when they put a lot of heavy trash outside many days before the truck pass by and how they dare to request fix properly the yard if some homes don't have nothing but nothing of grass and they don't bother at all this owners? Definitely this hypocrites just are looking the small things they want closing theirs eyes in another ones. Be careful if you decide to live in this neighborhood cause they one time in their "magazine" compare this neighborhood with SIENNA PLANTATION seriously? Maybe they can't understand this neighborhood it's majority Hispanic and they are upset for that cause they always act like "racist people" with all the hispanics. We are robbed more than 5 times in our place and never really never the HPD do something about it too. So be advised cause they only bothering to really hard worker people and they don't anything with theirs friends or major violators of the rules! I hope if they really want change everything they be fair with everyone's and not only with the people they think they can do it. I have a lot pictures of all the exposed before but really I don't have time to add it now cause many people enjoy most of the time with our families and working for a better life for they.

Definitivamente esta "asociación cívica" supone intentar el esfuerzo de lo mejor para la comunidad pero solo mira las "violaciones" en algunos hogares olvidando otras violaciones realmente grandes y definitivamente no toman ninguna acción al respecto, supuestamente hacen cumplir ridículas y viciosas fallas pero algunas de las mas importantes para la comunidad como vehículos bloqueando las aceras y aceras muy dañadas poniendo en peligro a los transeúntes, tambien suponen el esfuerzo del estacionamiento de vehiculos comerciales y el barrio esta lleno de furgonetas comerciales y camiones grandes con remolques, Además, muchas casas tienen autos realmente viejos y dañados durante años en sus caminos de entrada y no hacen nada al respecto. ¿También puedes ver todos los autos estacionados en el césped y ellos tampoco pueden verlo? Por qué no están haciendo nada con todas las casas que están siendo usadas como talleres de hojalatería y talleres mecánicos y no hacen nada con los grandes violadores cuando sacan mucha basura pesada afuera muchos días antes de que pase el camión y cómo ¿Te atreverías a pedir arreglar correctamente el jardín si algunas casas no tienen nada más que nada de césped y no molestan en absoluto a estos propietarios? Definitivamente estos hipócritas solo miran las pequeñas cosas que quieren cerrando los ojos en los demás. Tenga cuidado si decide vivir en este vecindario porque una vez en su "revista" compararon este vecindario con SIENNA PLANTATION en serio. A lo mejor no entienden que este barrio es mayoritariamente hispano y están molestos por eso siempre actúan como "racistas" con todos los hispanos. Nos roban más de 5 veces en nuestro lugar y nunca realmente el HPD hace algo al respecto también. ¡Así que tenga cuidado porque solo molestan a las personas realmente trabajadoras y no hacen nada con sus amigos o los principales infractores de las reglas! Sean parejos y justos.
