I made an appointment online, and I stood in line no longer than 2 minutes before I was given a ticket at the front desk. Then, my ticket was immediately called, and the gentleman at the desk not only helped me with a pretty substantial process, but afterward, I asked about signing up for the DMV online services, and he initialized my account and provided me with a temporary PIN, which I was able to successfully activate! I finished everything within about 30 minutes, and his service and kindness was exceptional.

I came today and it is the first time I come to this place because I just moved and they had never made me feel the way the lady who served me did, she has black hair, I couldn't distinguish her race but she was at window 4 at 4:30 in the afternoon, she didn't listen to me and she did with my documentation what she wanted and not what I came for, she did what she thought when she diplomatically had to ask, and she didn't let me express myself why my visit left me without a license since according to her I was coming to change my license when it wasn't that, she gave me a page to fill out and at the same time, she took a photo of me and she was super quick to sign.
I understand that they close at 5:00pm but that doesn't give you the right to not give the costumer the time and opportunity to express themselves, they made me pay for something that wasn't what I came for.
I don't understand how they have a person like that working for something as serious and delicate as the engine area.

Best experience ever with a DMV office in any state I have ever lived in! Yesterday, after realizing that my driver’s license had expired I went on line to get a reservation to renew it at the Tysons Corner DMV. Unsurprisingly, all reservations were two weeks out…except one (probably a cancellation) for 3PM on that very day. Unfortunately, it was already 2:40 and I was coming from Falls Church. Mercifully, the traffic gods were in my favor and I made it with 3 minutes to spare. After a brief wait in the line for reservations I was given a number for my turn with an agent. I took a seat, full expecting the usual long wait for DMV service. Shockingly, my number was called the minute I sat down. I went to my assigned window, filled out the required forms, took my vision test, paid the very reasonable fee, and was on my way. The whole process took less than 20 minutes, if that. This is one amazing DMV office!

I want to share a great experience I had at the DMV today. A customer of mine, an 80-year-old gentleman, was dealing with a challenging situation. After a serious car accident that left him injured and his car totaled, he received a letter from the DMV requesting proof of insurance for his totaled car, with a deadline fast approaching. Despite his pain, he and his wife had already tried to resolve the issue but weren’t able to on their own.

I decided to accompany them to the DMV to see if we could get everything sorted out. From the moment we walked in, the staff was professional and patient. It took a little time, but I was able to connect with the right person, who went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue completely.

What stood out to me was the dedication and care of the DMV team. They listened to the situation, asked the right questions, and made sure we left with everything taken care of. My customer and his wife were so relieved, and I couldn’t have done it without the DMV’s help.

Thank you to the team for making what could have been a stressful experience a smooth and successful one. Your efforts to assist customers, especially in unique and complicated situations, are truly appreciated!

If you need a good insurance agent, I’d love to be your agent.

Horrible employees! Was assisted by 2 different employees. One for my new DL for moving to VA and another employee for my vehicle registration. This young girl who might be Indian or middle eastern assisting me with my DL was so rude and tried to tell me she couldn’t accept my documents of my renters insurance as a proof of address but her coworker whom assisted my husband accepted it. So her coworker read what is acceptable and this girl still tried to argue a way to shut my document down with her coworker. Then the 2nd employee that I had to deal with was even more rude! This older woman maybe asian and a heavy accent was so condescending, sassy, pushy, and couldn’t explain nothing just only continued to be condescending with no real answer. Then told me that she has only 10 min window with me and that I need to hurry up when she couldn’t give me answers to my question on what she was looking for. And this Indian bald headed dude who may be her manager was rude as hell too! These people literally talk as if think they are Gods, yet they work in the customer service field to help and assist people, yet treat people with soooo disrespect. Even their security guard was rude to my husband whom was in the bathroom during an announcement about doors closing and he wanted to grab something for our baby, asked if he would let him back in since they were now flowing into their closing hours, the Indian looking security guard laughed at my husband. My husband asked him what was so funny and was confused why he was laughing in my husbands face. When my husband asked him “what’s so funny? I don’t understand why your laughing” the security guard stopped laughing and walked away. Rather letting him know “unfortunately we have a no open door policy during closed office hours” like a proper person would say. What is wrong with majority of the people who work here? Honestly, they need to scrub out third crappy employees or do an employees satisfaction survey to shape these people up, they all seem to hate people and their job. They all seem miserable.

Idk why they hire people who don't want to work. S. Yi refused to complete our application despite the fact we had all paperwork as requested and got an approval email from dmv earlier. When told about the email his response was a snarky "congratulations". He kept making mistakes, making us wait there for 1.5 hrs at the window. And let's not even mention his attitude, literally throwing papers at us, extremely rude, and rolling his eyes at us when I asked just one question to clarify something. Hire better people.
