On 11/27/2024 I walked into the post office to return an order that I no longer needed. I spoke with a lady name April. Who was very unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Who instructed me to leave my package at window 3. She was on her phone and still lacked st customer service. My package wasn’t scan no receipt was given to me and when I asked I was told “ that’s all you can leave now”. It is currently 13 days later and my package wasn’t scanned to show it’s been accepted nor can it be found. I returned to the office and spoke to Mr.Bradshaw who was a listener he couldn’t assist with this matter and provided a number to call no solution. April was in office and was also being nasty and mad about me taken her photo. I understand these are union members but something must be done. Let’s not forget to mention they had inspections there due to other concerns so me and my package cannot be the only problem. I went there during my lunch break my break is from 12-1pm RUN THEM CAMERAS BACK … they played their self’s!!! Complaint was put in for both my package and the lady !!

I usually rave about this specific post office I work in the area and go there all the time , I love the convenience of how early they open, the customer service and there is never usually a line.

Well today I went in to return a package to Thomas sitting at window 11 and he was great as always very knowledgable returned my package in like 2 seconds !!!! He’s great .

Then i started to make my way out when i had a question for the woman sitting at the passport window . I went up to her and instantly she said “NO ! Dont Ask Me No Questions !!” . I couldnt believe she spoke to me that way , ive never experience anything like this here before.

P.s its so hard to get a job working for USPS and look who they pick miserable people with no manners. Its cost nothing to be nice .

The photo is the passport lady . Stay away

The employees are all very nice but the place is always understaffed. I don't even want to leave a bad review because I know management will just blame the employees for not working fast enough, but every transaction I have at the counter goes smoothly and everyone does a good job, there just aren't enough of them. They have like 20 windows and there are times where only two of them have people behind them but there's a line of 15 people lol. This is what happens when USPS isn't funded properly I guess. I always leave feedback saying the worker did a great job but they need to put more people on duty at one time. I recommend other people do the same since that's the feedback that USPS will actually look at and then the employees won't get blamed for the bad reviews.

Beautiful little post office on the second floor (elevated by stairs really half a floor), big space, a lot of writing area, package drop off, supplies and plenty of windows. Not very busy at 8:30a in the morning on a weekday, line was fast, they had the stamps I wanted, and the delivery of the package took exactly the time predicted. Nice and easy!

Went to get my new passport (since I lost my old one) and the lady at window number 2 was very informative and polite. I had an appointment at 2:30pm but she took me earlier. It was pretty easy going. Not sure why other people are saying it was so bad. Maybe I went there on a good day

My first time here mailing anything out, and it was a horrendous experience. One of the employees was extremely nasty and condescending towards me. As I previously stated, it was my first time mailing anything out and I was clearly very lost on how to go about it. I was also pretty nervous because you always hear the stereotype that USPS workers are nasty and have bad attitudes. I just wanted things to go smoothly. Apparently, I had used the wrong envelope to mail out my letters, but of course this employee had to say in the rudest way possible, cause God forbid you show anybody some respect. On top of that, she didn’t give me any proper clear instructions on how to move further. I was still confused, so I explained this was my first time here and I was still unclear on how to go about the process and that I had to go soon or else I was gonna be late to my class. She then had the audacity to laugh in my face in a very belittling, condescending manner, and told me (while still laughing), “Well, it’s not my fault that you don’t know how to do this. I don’t know what to tell you. Handle it yourself.” At this point, I was pissed and told her, “You know, you could be nicer in the way you address people.” And she had the nerve to say, “Like I said, figure it out yourself.”

At this point, I was frustrated and very distraught. Another employee could see that I was struggling and had no clue what to do. She politely asked to help and had a lot of patience with me, guided me through everything. I think I was so flustered and on edge from the previous encounter with the other employee that I kept making silly mistakes (you know when you’re so angry that you can’t think straight?), but the 2nd woman was definitely kinder and more patient about it. I was able to mail out my letters successfully (and still make it to my class on time). I wish I knew her name to publicly thank her because she was lovely (she’s the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1). I was so grateful for her in that moment.

As for the first woman, even if she thought I was the biggest idiot on the planet (which fine, you have the right to think that, I can’t control your thoughts), even if she was having the worst day of her life and taking it out on me, as a customer service employee, that is still no excuse to display such a lack of class and unprofessionalism. You don’t show disdain and laugh at a customer when they’re clearly struggling with a task. You don’t do that in life with people, period! A REAL professional would’ve kept those reservations to themselves and would have proceeded to help the customer, anyway. I work at a theater as a part-time usher. I would never treat any of the patrons attending one of the shows at my job in that manner. If a patron asks me where the bathroom is or which seat they’re sitting in, I’m going to repeat the directions to them as many times as needed (even if I’m losing my patience with them on the inside), maybe even walk with them to it for extra guidance if they need it. I’m not going to laugh in their face and condescendingly tell them, “Well I don’t know what to tell you, figure it out yourself!” That wouldn’t be very professional of me. My job is to help them if needed! Same applies to her and anyone else in customer service.

I read the other reviews on here and I see that this isn’t the first time this has happened with other customers. I won’t be returning if that is how majority of the staff conduct themselves. That was extremely ill-mannered of her, and whoever she is, I hope she gets fired, because if that’s how she goes about her job, then she doesn’t deserve to keep it!

Everyone there is willing to help and are all very knowledgeable of their procedures. Please forgive them they are exhausted and Pretty please do your research online before even bother going in.

Everything is available on travel.state.gov if you are going there for passport. The people in this passport department are really nice and were extremely helpful. Especially Maureen and the other gentleman in grey. My sister and I both did our passport renewal here.

I saw other people dropping off packages at a very fast electronic system right near a drop off box. There are many transactions going on at once; the lines move very quickly but also get packed really fast. All the pricing is posted very clearly throughout.

The building is beautiful, this is a prime location. Enter at the front, middle of the block because there are other things inside I think @450 Lex.

It is convenient for getting stamps and wishing packages via the self serve kiosks, they have several. I was there at 11am on a Tuesday, the line was short of you need to do business with a person.
