Sweet slice of Americana! This town is full of some surprising and interesting history. Pop in to eat at Prime 115 which is a historical bank with the original vault door still attached (the food was delicious and vice was very old town Vegas with Micah belting out Sinatra as we dined). There are some really cute shops and a favorite was Velvet Angel (found some guys deals) and the antique market next door. After dinner we walked around the square and popped into the old theater to catch some dueling pianos. On Saturdays there is a farmer's market so it was easy to spend the day chilling. Next time I'd like to spend the weekend and stay at the hotel where Bonnie and Clyde holed up while they scouted the area banks!

You can make the most amazing day by walking around the beautiful downtown Waxahachie area! So many places to grab a bite, to enjoy something sweet, all within walking distance!! We were blown away by the incredible architecture. We can not wait to explore more!

Everything was great. My Husband and I went to the Texas Country Reporter Festival and had a wonderful time. It did drizzle on us the whole time we were there, but it was all good. There were lots of booths to see and there was live music. We will be back to visit again.

Absolutely love the downtown area! Fun events, excellent restaurants. Very walkable! You can spend the whole day there with shopping, food and activities.

I actually asked a restaurant worker if the friendliness of everyone we met was authentic! Everyone knew everyone, and everyone said hello and seemed genuinely friendly. Loved the town! Will definitely return.

Went had Mexican food down right off the square Waxahachie is a great ambiance in a great place to visit
